14 [Similar Anime] Like Manyuu Hikenchou

Excluding the strong ecchi content, they are nothing more than a bad and forced comedy. But in the case of these two animations, it would be stupidity expect something more ...

Both have, ecchi, samurai, martial arts, action, fantasy and magic genre.

Both features, fanservice and BOOBS and Panty shots.

Both were set in an alternate Japan.

Both have chiquitas (main female lead) who were either ditzy, retard or stupid.

Both have main female characters who welds a samurai sword.

Dissimilarities:

Though, both animes have fanservice in them, one is more of panty shots while the other has more to do with BOOBIES.

In MH, has an extra yuri genre while HRSG, has harem as its extra genre.

In HRSG, there is a muchacho who seems to exercise some form of influence with his harem, while in MH it is the chiquita (female lead) with big bouncing BOOBIES who is the head of the duo.

Also, the muchacho (male lead)in HRSG may be a samurai himself however he is seldom seen engaging in combat, while in MH it is the sidekick ( the one with the flat chest) who rarely gets into a fight.

Both were set in the early part of historical Japan.

Both have ecchi, history, martial arts, action, parody and magic genre.

Both involves a main female character who is a skilled swordsman (or woman for that matter).

Both female characters wear little or skimpy clothing.

and there the usual fanservice and there is your typical yuri.

Dissimilarities:

One involves BOOBS, BOOBS and BOOBS, while the other one is more on the exotic sexy side.

The chiquita (female lead) in MH weals a traditional samurai sword, while the chiquita (I'm referring to Oda Nobunaga) in SOMP weals a rather long and big broad sword.

MH is more of a duo of former clan members who broke away from the clan to do something good for everyone......I think. while in SOMP it involves a ditzy chica (girl) who got into somewhat of weird situation where she has to help a chiquita ( Oda Nobunaga) to conquer the whole of Japan in a noble way........I think.

The fanservice in MH is more intense than SOMP.

Both involves chicks who can kick ass and with big boobs, BOINK! BOINK!

Both shares the same shojo, action and ecchi genres, BOINK! BOINK!

Both main chicks has a side kick who joins them in thier journey, BOINK! BOINK!

Disimilarities:

MH has an extra martial arts, samurai, yuri and history genre, While Grenadier has adventure and comedy as its extra genre.

In Grenadier the chick has 2 side kicks, one is a man and one is a kid, while MH only has her loyal aide as her sidekick.

When it comes to being seen naked, the main chick in MH is very much reluctant unless it's lady and if she's ever seen naked it is always accidentaly, while in Grenadier, the main chick has no hesitation to be seen naked wheather accidental or not.

The feamle sidekick in MH has hots for the main chick and would often grope her breast whenever the main chick least expect it, while in Grenadier, the guy (side kick) would avoid getting close to the main chick, the kid (side kick) since it is a girl prefers to be close to the latter (main chick).

For Manyuu Hikenchou, even the title falls into the ecchi silliness. If you'll forgive my (less than perfect) Japanese, I might translate Manyuu as "demon(ic) boob" and Hikenchou as "secret sword book". Think Jim Carey as the Riddler: "Was that over the top? I can never tell."

Cross Ange also derives humor from its title, but in a different way (watch the end of episode previews for that).
