15 [Similar Anime] Like Berserk

both have similar genres and both have awesome story lines and i like berserk especially after seeing the movies and i noticed A lot of change in the animation style of the series berserk in the last two episodes at first i didn't like the animation style but now it improved a lot and i like it more now...

Both have the same plot where blood and gore is involved and the antiheroes are gonna have a hell of the time dealing with the supernatural opponents, however while one isn't fighting alone the same can't be said for the other one where the antihero is a lone wolf.

- Both series are sitting in a similar worlds full of Magic and Fantasy.
- Both Main characters have big massive sword.
- Both Main characters are related to Demon and both are Knights .
- Both have rivalry between the main character and his best friend.
- Berserk is more bloodier than Black Clover.

The stories follow two men who must travel a fantasy world fighting demons to rescue the woman they love. Also, these both are the pinnacle of Quality Animation!

Nearly the same adventure, action fantasy genre, where in involves warriors whom were duking out with other warriors from different group, the differences was Berserk was more of a reboot from the 1990's version, while F/A was more like a spin off of Fate/ stay night.

Both involves male bad ass characters whom were out to fight evil supernatural forces.

-Main character fights demons

Both have gruff badass swordsmen who are even drawn similar enough to be brothers. Similar adult themes and general dark tone.

Both have a simillar crime,thriller based storyline..But Monster's story is much more better,profound,deep & realistic.
A truly amazing Crime based story filled with very realistic situations,accurate characters & a very calm sophisticated protagonist,a very enjoyable Horror,mystery filled thriller fueled by one of the most monstrous,dangerous,genius villain ever seen in animes.

Both anime are hilariously bad seinens that will make you cringe several times (although Berserk 2016 wins the cringe section). If you are looking for anime that are bad in comedic ways, watch either one of the two, with Gantz especially in the English dub.

Both are a great action anime with lots of blood. Include sword fight. If you like seeing fighting with blood, then you will like it.

Dark plot, artsy direction and cgi.

I chose this Berserk in particular because like Alicization, it is most interesting for me. This one is where Guts chases after Griffith and plows over demons. I think there was the Rape Horse scene which triggers people. You get to see Guts go crazy here with the Black Sword and if that wasn't enough, there are some bloody mutilation scenes where man have lost their humanity and are monsters deserved to be slain.

Both have one who wants to become king, and when he gets his goal turns from evil.

An adaptation that had potential but is a mix of greatness and fail.
Both failed at being faithful to their source material, since Berserk feels like a half-edgy shounen when it's one of the best dark fantasy seinen, and Terraformars lost the horror factor.
Berserk condenses too much material while Terraformars is too dragged out, and both end of course incomplete.
The fighting feems campy, as intended for Terraformars, but not in the original Berserk, and there is in particular a recurring sound effect of a punch getting sucked into void for Terraformars and the Dragonslayer hitting like a fry pan in Berserk...
Watch only for some cool moments, but read the source material.
