COMMENTS FOR SHUGO CHARA!
Want magic? Want comedy? Want drama? Want romance? Well, both these series might answer your wishes.
Both series fits with the typical magical girl genre with both the main protagonists changing costumes/battle gear constantly to solve problems and battle against what they believe is right.
There is plenty of character development for the supporting cast as well as the main cast and as episodes progresses, love complications becomes part of the angles as well.
Shugo Chara! is really commonly compared to CardCapor Sakura. They're both magical girl series and the characters are roughly around the same age. But what's really similar is the complicated and unique romances taking place around the series. Nadeshiko is really easily compared to Tomoyo. Amu's two main love interests are a boy her own age and a boy older than her. It's pretty easy so see the similarities.
Pretty much everyone I know that likes one series, likes the other as well.

COMMENTS FOR NANATSU-IRO★DROPS
Similar storylines. Both main characters are very cute, very caring, and have a little animal "sidekick" that has much information about what is being collected. Both Sakura and Sumomo adapt to the idea of having magical powers and having to search for the magical items in similar ways. In CCS they are collecting Clow Cards, in ND they are collecting Stardrops. ^O^ Sakura and Sumomo kinda look alike too. ^^
COMMENTS FOR KOBATO.
Similar artstyle (due to being from CLAMP) and design. Beyond that, both involve a world of make-believe (with involvement of supernatural beings with magical powers) within a realistic world. Kobato shares some similarities with Sakura, not only in terms of looks (Kobato looks like an older verson of Sakura with a different hairstyle), but part of her character such as cheerfulness. They are very loosely related at best due to these superficial similarities, but it is likely that both are enjoyable in their own ways.

COMMENTS FOR FATE/KALEID LINER PRISMA ILLYA
The idea of magical girls in anime series is nothing new. Cardcaptor Sakura and Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya both explore that territory. They both involve young girls who uses and collects cards in battle against supernatural forces. Cardcaptor Sakura's cards has a deeper meaning though but both series maintains the magical girl trope well.
The main female characters are inexperienced at first but later gets more experience with their partner. They're also shown to be kind and cheerful with everyone at school. Both series also has action along with comedy and drama. There's also a sense of competition among collecting the cards.

Both have to do with magic, cute girls, and love. They are both aimed at the younger crowd of girls (9-14 guesstimated) and both are quite innocent. Though they have different plot lines, they have to do with love among family, friends, humans, and themselves. Oh, and they both have a small group of friends cheering them on

COMMENTS FOR PUELLA MAGI MADOKA MAGICA
Madoka takes the magical girl genre and decapitates it. If you like the concept and you want to see your favorite characters succeed, find love, and well, LIVE, then a classic like Cardcaptor Sakura is what you've been looking for.
Cardcaptor Sakura is such a sweet, delightful show that it's hard not to bounce in your seat each episode. The style (by CLAMP) is clean and bright, and reinforces the tone of the show in the way that Madoka's nightmarish landscapes and dark architecture reinforces its own tone. Madoka and Sakura are both young girls given the power to help others at their own risk, and they're both motivated by love for their friends and family, but how they handle the "magical girl" responsibilities are where they differ most greatly.
Both shows have secondary characters with rich stories, but Cardcaptor Sakura manages to depict really subtly complicated relationships in touching ways without resorting to killing off each character. Like Madoka, Cardcaptor Sakura does have some light yuri, yaoi, and everything else, but never shows anything explicit or overtly sexual, since most of the characters are still kids. Cardcaptor Sakura is definitely not as dark as Madoka, but it's not a fluff anime. Each character experiences longing, jealousy, loss and self-doubt, but each also manage to overcome, which is what makes this show so uplifting and inspiring.
Cardcaptor Sakura will leave you feeling satisfied with your emotional journey without breaking your heart as violently as Madoka.

COMMENTS FOR MYSTERIOUS THIEF SAINT TAIL
The story structure is fairly similar, though Cardcaptor Sakura is a lot more polished. Nevertheless, it's interesting to see a mahou shoujo show use the formula that became popular for the genre before Cardcaptor even came out. Animation is fairly good as it's by TMS Entertainment and the characters are pretty adorable. It's a fun, harmless watch that Cardcaptor fans will definitely warm up to.

COMMENTS FOR ULTRAMANIAC - MAGICAL GIRL
Because they are both a lighthearted, good-mood, episodic magical girl show.
CS and UM feature a young girl with magical abilities trying to live an ordinary life, but is forced to use their powers usually due to supernatural circumstances around them. Both shows are primarily magic and school-life oriented, with a familiar balance of comedy, romance, and good wholesome fun.
