COMMENTS FOR HIGH SCHOOL DXD
A blood world filled with paradise where both the main characters find themselves in an irresistible position of being able to own the highest standard of a woman.
'Highschool of the Dead' highlights the struggle for survival when the apocalypse has arrived. In the midst of such danger, desires arise in the most unpredictable of situations and the thought of 'you only live once' comes into play which in turn leads a person to show his true colours.
'High School DxD' exhibits an ambitious person who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals, be it in a comedic or perverted way. Putting battles side, adding to the picture are several beautiful individuals that would be able to tickle one's sense in the greatest of manners.
High school students, Harem, Boobs, both illogical, both ecchi, both "meh" (at best) I also meant to say boobs, boobies, breasts, boobs, and more boobs. Oh and high school students. High School of the Dead is more of a survival of the fittest type of anime, with the MC being the guy who rises up from being beta to alpha--with hot babes wantin that hawt meat stick of love. DxD is more leniant, what I mean is that, the MC is just there to soak up all of the women + boy's attention. Sound different? Well not really, the story will center around the MC, and I don't just mean story, but all of the ladies too baby. One last thing these 2 anime's have in common is that you get this feeling inside of you that just tells you to not watch it when others are around.
A (minor) difference, HOTD has a zombie apocalypse - DXD has devils/angels ('n stuff like that).
HOTD and DxD are so perverted and naughty, one might mistake these for hentai (make sure to only watch in a comfortable setting!). Well if these aren't hentai... well that's not true IMHO, these 2 should be considered softcore hentai. Have fun kiddos! (I only watched them for the plot, and characters, nothing else.)

COMMENTS FOR ATTACK ON TITAN
Both anime focus on how people cope with an overwhelming force. In HSOD the characters find themselves laughing at the reminder that their are still human and in Skingeki no Kyojin man kinds hopes and dreams of ever leaving the walls are riding on people that have to change, loss themselves as human beings, to make achieve that. In both the changes leave the characters as something even worse than the very thing they are trying to beat.
COMMENTS FOR GANTZ
Both series have an inexplicable amount of blood, gore, and tits.
However, Highschool of the Dead feels a bit more self-aware of it's perversions and comes off as comedic-yet-juvenile, while Gantz takes itself a bit more seriously all-around, making the perverted moments seem a bit more mature.
COMMENTS FOR BTOOOM!
hotd is pervy and btooom is more discreet about it and has a bit more respect. it pleasantly surprised me cause we know anime.
now that that's out of the way, they are a bit different , yet have a similar feel.
on one hand, a guy is mindlessly killing zombies, holding onto the fact that they are dead and it is justifiable to keep himself sane, while the other has a guy forced kill real live people and has actually lost his mind a few times.
either way, there are deaths, gore, and boobs.
hotd is less thought provoking (boo), but has more bloodshed (yay) and unnecessary fanservice (boo) so that's something.
btooom has more food for thought (yay) and thankfully less pervy moments (yay), but when it does have them... it almost ruins the entire mood (BOO).
but if those boo moments don't bother you (or you enjoy them), check the other out.

COMMENTS FOR PRISON SCHOOL
The mere notion of combining tits & arse fan-service with serious subject matter/direction is usually a BIG no-no. People that want smutty antics usually do not much care for death and non-orgasmic thrills, and vice versa. But these two series are a special kind of exception to that most logical of rules.
HotD refreshes the quite literally done-to-death zombie genre with a haremish, alpha male approach to survival. The other pokes fun at any and every prison escape story with the aid of srsbiz 'horror' male faces and femdom overload. Money is also happily thrown around in the way of budgeting to improve the eye-candy AND action; complete with stellar direction/timing.
They are undoubtedly trashy forms of entertainment that target males, yes, but by combining polar opposite subject matter with a heavy dosage of lulz and thrills, they became different from everything else in a strangely satisfying way. Granted, some people will question why they are not just outright hentai, whilst others will be distracted by the subject matter clash. But those that can walk the 'middle road' and just accept / enjoy the two for what they are will be in for a treat. Non-lesbian females and gay males aside, possibly.

COMMENTS FOR WHEN THEY CRY
watching Highschool of the Dead reminds me of Higurashi--albeit with a lot of ecchi. this series really holds nothing back, as far as the violence goes. Higurashi is the same in that it captures the expressions of the characters really well. if you liked one, chances are you'll like the other.

COMMENTS FOR DEADMAN WONDERLAND

COMMENTS FOR TRIAGE X
Tired? Stressed? You will feel better sitting on the couch watching fanservice (the source of all problems). Storylines play no important role in these two worlds where sexual attraction and pleasure conquers all.
‘Highschool of the Dead’ puts you in a world of zombie filled with stench of death where hope is the furthest thing from one’s mind. In the depths of this crisis, a group of gorgeous females charms the city with both their look and appealing physiques. It is almost impossible to miss out on a potentially hot scene wherever you are. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing beautiful woman taking out zombies one after another and paradise is destined for the guys in the group.
‘Triage X’ set its sight in a city filled with corruption and hidden in the shadows, lays a group of dark knights sworn to purge the city of this disease. Aside from the killing, it does not hurt to have woman with lustful bodies taking over the screen (fanservice style) regardless of their individual importance. Torture is used as an element to add another level of pleasure in the already sweet gratification. That alone is enough to divert a person’s attention away from the great songs and character development in the series.

COMMENTS FOR HELLSING ULTIMATE
Both don't have a serious story and is all about the badass characters and the gory action, both have zombies in them, both have bad ass weapon specialist. HOTD has ecchi and Hellsing Ultimate has those cartoon comedy moments. Both are high quality animation Madhouse production.

COMMENTS FOR IS THIS A ZOMBIE?
They both feature the frightening undead (except the protagonist in Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? isn't like a Resident Evil type of zombie). They also take place in a world where the characters never thought they'd up end in and it's packed with action, comedy, and fan service.
Ecchi is the biggest selling point in both anime so if beautiful, big-breasted anime women are something you cherish in life (I do) then you should find enjoyment in both series.

COMMENTS FOR KABANERI OF THE IRON FORTRESS
Both series deal with a zombie apocalypse. However, the 'zombies' in Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress are 'hard mode' zombies, and has been around for considerably longer.
Both series deal with strong themes of survival, This leads to both having amazing, if not over the top, action sequences nearly anytime a battle with hordes of the undead begin.
That said, Kabaneri does not have the sexually gratuitous fanservice that HOTD was swimming in, which might make it a slightly more appropriate series to share with others.
Lastly, both series are very well animated, with each motion and movement feeling crisp and 'real', while the soundtrack punctuates without overwhelming.

COMMENTS FOR ELFEN LIED
Both are action-type animes with a tiny bit of comedy, have slight harem themes, and involve lots and lots of killing. Also, great dubs. To sum it all up in one sentence: boobs, blood and death.

COMMENTS FOR AKAME GA KILL!
Similar MC
Saeko Busujima < Akame
Takashi "Taka" Komuro < Tatsumi
Both are in a group that's all about eliminating the evil and surviving.
Both live in a world where the ruled by the evil.
Differences: Akame ga Kill's Night Raides group has more members. Akame ga Kill is fantasy and medieval while HoTD is more realistic and in the current time. HoTD is very ecchi.
The differences are HUGE, but both have kind of the same feel.
