COMMENTS FOR GURREN LAGANN
TTGL and Kill la Kill are series by the same director so they retain the craziness, excitement, and wild epic battles that both perspective series share (minus the mecha part for KLK).
Both series have similar artwork with the main protagonists going out-all, odds against their adversaries.
The action presented from both of these series is over-the-top in the sense of craziness and insane movements. The main female protagonists also share a trait of being natural-born fighters with gifted talents.
There is also over the top comedy that both series share to deliver entertainment that you deserve.
Kill la Kill and Gurren Laggan both have the same over-the-top style of comedy and action. They both feature ridiculous fighting that just keeps getting more and more insane as the series progresses, as well as a similar exaggerated and rather quirky style in both art and animation, and on top of that they also have their own set of lovably memorable characters. Be prepared though that while both shows are very upbeat and light hearted most of the time, they can hit hard with some emotional moments too. In my opinion though, that just makes them even more enjoyable! :)
he characters , artwork and fighting is over the top in both series!
The first thing that struck me when watching KLK was the similar artwork to TTGL, a bit rough but still lovely, also the explosiveness of the fighting scenes are great in both shows last but not least it's the cockiness of KLKs Matoi and TTGLs Kamina! Their attitudes are a lot alike and brought a smile to my face many times.
TLDR; If you liked one off em you are bound to like the other one as well!
COMMENTS FOR FLCL
Fooly Cooly. One of the first animes I saw and one of the reasons I started my...well, obsession of wanting to watch anime all the time. I was always a little sad at how short Fooly Cooly was and how there weren't that many animes like it around. Then 12 years later Kill La Kill jumps into my life and fills the hole that was once in my heart. Imaishi, Hiroyuki strikes again. The art, random ass story, animation style, and comedy are VERY similar in these two anime. If you've seen FLCL or have been watching KLK I highly recommend the other. Really excited for Kill La Kill. Hope it gets a good reception so this style of comedy can thrive in the anime world.
Wild animation, bizarre plotlines, cool characters, and sweet soundtracks.
If you liked the oddity of FLCL, Kill la Kill delivers its fair share of strangeness, though in a much more direct format. Its humor has a lot of basis in cartoonish antics, fan service gags, and puns (so many puns). While definitely not sharing the surrealism of FLCL, it has a lot of the same attitude, and can be an enjoyable romp.
Notably, the two series share some production team members, including Hiroyuki Imaishi.

COMMENTS FOR PANTY & STOCKING WITH GARTERBELT
Both shows tend to not take themselves very seriously, and tend to parody things.
They also have a similar "villain of the week" approach to the storytelling.
Both shows have a dynamic & fluid animation style, as well, which seems like it's influenced by western cartoon animation. Kill la Kill's art seems to be more influenced by traditional cartoon art styles like Looney Tunes or Ren & Stimpy, while Panty & Stocking seems influenced by more modern stuff like Powerpuff Girls or Dexter's Lab. This leads to both shows looking different, but having that same dynamically animated feel.
That animation style helps both series' characters, and makes them all seem incredibly over-the-top and bombastic.

COMMENTS FOR
Kill la kill has a lot of Utena references, both series have a very similar "feel", given they are both about tomboyish female leads who "revolutionize" their "academy" while "dueling" student council members. Both end up deconstructing various anime clichés in order to tell their existential tale. Utena is more serious and all of it's "weirdness" is not to be taken as face value since it's used for it's great character study and handling of philosophy and psychology. Kill la Kill is mostly satire humor thriving on entertainment value. Both series require thinking out of the box to enjoy.

COMMENTS FOR SPACE PATROL LULUCO
This anime is just a pure beauty of animation and music. The soundtrack is amazing, the story is short but very cool and funny and the characters are very endearing. This anime is one of my favorite just for the animation, the soundtrack and the tributes to other anime of the studio. See it, it's 90 min of pure pleasure.

COMMENTS FOR AKAME GA KILL!
To start, the title is very similar to the title. There are characters that use a sword to fight and have rapid movements in terms of speed and reaction time. There are also characters that sport special suits known as either Kamui or Regalias. Likewise, in Akame ga Kill, some characters have special weapons known as Imperial Arms.
Lastly, the main character of Akame ga Kill is visually similar to the main character of Kill la Kill, with black and red clothing and skirts.

COMMENTS FOR ONE PUNCH MAN
One Punch Man and Kill la Kill are both satirical anime which lampoon common anime tropes to great comedic effect. In One Punch Man, the writers play off of the classic "normal guy becomes a superhero and saves the world" trope by creating a character that's just a hero as a hobby, and is so overwhelmingly powerful that even battles with super-villains become boring (at least to him). In Kill la Kill, we see a play on the "mysterious transfer student shakes up the high-school" trope by making the main character a strong and competent Female, and through the writers using their viewers' fanservice expectations as an actual plot device. The main character's clothes-based fighting abilities seem to be related to the amount of skin she shows, turning the fanservice, something that is normally only objectifying, into a source of strength.
"But Tacit," you might say, "One Punch Man doesn't have any fanservice." Well that is... kind of true. While there isn't too much fanservice, that doesn't mean the authors aren't aware of their viewers' fanservice expectations. There is a reason Saitama keeps showing up in a shirt that says "Oppai" ("Boobies"), it's the animators giving a satirical nod to fanservice in the anime industry.
Beyond their satirical nature, both anime are wonderfully animated, beautifully scored, populated by interesting characters, and supported by expertly choreographed fight-scenes. On the off-chance that you haven't seen these two already, or in case you were considering either anime and just need that final push to start watching them, then I would whole-heartedly recommend both of these shows. Even if you don't pick up on all the satire they are both hugely entertaining anime. I hope you enjoy them!
COMMENTS FOR NEEDLESS
As if action wasn't enough, Needless and Kill la Kill takes action to a whole new level with its characters and battles. The presentation of both series depicts a similar setting involving superpowers.
The main characters gets involved with various events that puts their lives and others at risk against certain foes. As anti-government force to be recognized, the main characters makes a name for themselves in the chaos to fight what they believe in.
Expect high volumes of drama, comedy, action, and fighting.

COMMENTS FOR PUNCH LINE
Both of these anime rely heavily on fanservice, and as a result, both of these anime have those critics who say the show is nothing but ecchi, and a sad excuse for anime. For some reason, Kill la Kill has managed to make it to the mainstream audience, where the majority would say it is critiquing fanservice, and in fact the ecchi is a necessary part of the plot.
I would argue vehemently that Punchline is the exact same way: the panty shots in this anime are not just to cause nosebleeds in sexually frustrated 30-year-olds. In fact, I would say the fanservice in Punchline is even more integral to the plot than in Kill la Kill, and is executed better, too. But for some reason, the majority of people don't see Punchline the same way.
But I'm telling you right now, if you were able to look past the half naked girls in Kill la Kill to see how awesome the anime was, you can definitely look past the panty shots in Punchline to go on a surprisingly well-written and mind-blowing journey. Watch it!

COMMENTS FOR DEAD LEAVES
Kill la Kill is basically Dead Leaves in school.
Having some staff members in common, character design, animation, direction give the same feel. Both works are also fast-paced and filled with over-the-top action.
They both depict fascism and more generally the ugly side of life (dirtyness, physical violence, verbal abuse) in a non-politically correct way.

COMMENTS FOR THE ROLLING GIRLS
Rolling Girls has yet to be finished at the time of this writing. Rolling Girls and Kill la Kill are fairly similar shows that have both aired in the last couple years. Rolling Girls is a this season anime, that does not have a set number of episodes yet or any plans for OVAs etc. The show is animated by Wit studio (The Attack on Titan guys). Kill la Kill aired from October of 2013 to March 2014, animated by Trigger, with one OVA. The two shows' art styles immediately can be drawn as similar as they both feature a very colorful and different style. The fight scenes, specifically, also shadow one another as every attack that is landed holds a ton of weight, as if you were the one being hit. The story-line for Rolling Girls is basically turf wars with the entirety of japan, whereas Kill la Kill has more of a linear story line. Some of the characters in Rolling Girls also resemble those from Kill la Kill both physically and mentally. Thus you can come to the conclusion that they are fairly similar shows. For the anyone who has experienced Kill la Kill and liked the overall style of the show, you should definitely give this one a try this season.

COMMENTS FOR FOOD WARS! SHOKUGEKI NO SOMA
Young and flamboyant are the main protagonists who arrive at a world leading and prestigious institute where they challenge the highest authority for their respective reasons. The main themes branch off but has very similar key elements that have made both series a success and it’s mainly due to executing the common things uncommonly well. Not to mention, going all out and extremely over the top in conveying symbolism and messages through, believe it or not, fan service. Both are able to take all the overused tropes and clichés of shounen, turns it up to overkill and then delightfully invert them to give something exciting and fresh.

COMMENTS FOR SENKI ZESSHOU SYMPHOGEAR
Symphogear starts out a little slow, but I believe if you like Kill la Kill and singing/music, you will almost certainly enjoy Symphogear. Symphogear has battles that get on a level of hype near to Kill la Kill's final battle. Both shows have awesome transformation scenes (Symphogear's gets improved after first season). While it is a lot of fun, it also has its serious moments.
The most important thing: I loved both of their OST's. They fit the action very well, and reflect the state of the character's feelings in the particular scene.

COMMENTS FOR PUELLA MAGI MADOKA MAGICA
The most obvious similarity comes from the fact that both shows put their own twist on the "mahou shoujo" genre. But while Madoka Magica explores this theme in a serious tone, Kill la Kill jumps around the comedy and parody territory, with some drama gems in between.
Both have very unique art styles.
The true main villans in both anime share a very similar goal and origin.
Both have really intricate stories with lots of plot twists.
The main diference is the pacing and overall atmosphere, Kill la Kill being more slap-stick comedy and ecchi, Madoka having a more well-paced story.
Both were great shows to watch.

COMMENTS FOR DARLING IN THE FRANXX
Great shows chocked full of in-your-face sexual euphemisms and great action sequences. Both deal with self-expression and the desire to break free of societal bonds regarding sexuality. For your high-octane action needs, you have Kill La Kill. For a more somber, bittersweet series you have Darling in the FranXX.
