COMMENTS FOR YOUR NAME.
Kokoro Connect and Kimi no Na Wa. both features body swapping. It's not just that. They're both really deep and touches your heart.
If you watch Kimi no Na Wa. after watching Kokoro Conenct, you will feel all the emotion and epicness. You'll feel the wideness and the beauty of the world as it is, and you will definitely be touched. If you watch it the otherway around, you'll realize Kokoro Connect handles all the emotion and problem inside one ground, which is school. Problems are dealt, mistakes are made, and you just have to sympathize for them.
Kokoro Connect and Kimi no Na Wa are both equally good to watch, but I recommend watching Kokoro Connect first, because while Kimi no Na Wa. handles things large far away, twisting and turning time, Kokoro Connect handles things simply in ordinary life..
I reckon 'Your Name' had a good strong premise with the body-swapping scenario to critically evaluate what it means to 'walk in another's footsteps'. Unfortunately the film quickly diverts from that to focus on a time-travelling scenario, which isn't where its strength is in my opinion. A show that better deals with deconstructing the perspectives of others is Kokoro Connect, using not just body swapping but other methods that betray an individual's projected persona.
COMMENTS FOR KIZNAIVER
(I Chose to do this recommendation before i even saw how many other people decided to do so)
Both stories follow a group (of teens) and puts them into a supernatural situation by an outside force in order to get them to bond with another.
kizanaiver puts a group of strangers together and makes them share physical pain in order to achieve them to eventualy emotional bond them to get them to understand each other's problems
Kokoro connect puts a group of friends together who are in a pretty much useless club, and puts them through a series of supernatural events to get them to bond with each other (for the amusement of another)
Both are great in their own way, and i like how the whole show in both really just revolves around these 5-7ish people and really only them. You get to learn about each character a bit more in detail than you would most anime.
All of the characters of both series are brought together through events none had asked for. They are tasked with understanding each others pains both emotionally and physically. A seemingly usual day like none other will soon spiral into a chaotic array of self discovery, growth of interpersonal relationships, and unwanted thoughts are brought to the surface. Unconscious decisions are suddenly questioned and naïve ones could prove fatal.

COMMENTS FOR YAMADA-KUN AND THE SEVEN WITCHES
Okay so these shows are only really similar in the body switching aspect.
Kokoro Connect is more dramatic and focuses on the personal relationships between a group of friends. It's a drama with comedy on the side. Yamada-kun is more of just a comedy show with plot on the side. Also it's worth mentioning that they both are based heavily on the supernatural and phenomenons that occur.
I really enjoyed both series but Kokoro Connect for the plot, Yamada-kun for the comedy.
Both deal with teenagers in a club in high school that deal with supernatural abilities. In Yamada's case, the high school club is centres around finding people with supernatural abilies, with some of the members having supernatural abilities. However, in Kokoro Connect the characters don't do anything in their stupid damn club (sure, the club in Yamada-kun was also pointless with the characters mucking around but at least that club had an objective!) until some supernatural stuff suddenly punches them in their stupid faces. Both of these anime flip flop through many different supernatural abilities but with body swapping being the first supernatural ability the characters encounter and the main attraction. Both anime also have romance as one of the main elements. In Kokoro Connect the anime takes a lot more of a dramatic route (MELODRAMIC -_-), while in Yamada-kun it takes more of a comedic route. Sure, there is drama in Yamada but there's still a lot of comedic moments. And you won't see as much melodrama in there as Kokoro Connect! That's for sure. Yamada-kun and Kokoro Connect do have lots in common and when watching Yamada-kun I couldn't help but get traumatising flashbacks to the time I had to suffer through Kokoro Connect.

COMMENTS FOR ANOHANA: THE FLOWER WE SAW THAT DAY
Both stories center around childhood friends who went through a series of trials and struggles together upon encountering a supernatural phenomenon. The theme for both series revolves around the importance of friendship and accountability. They were also able present impeccable artistry (especially the musical scores) and spiritual value.
Both of these animes focuses on the bonds between the group of characters that you'll probably love, and both are about a sudden "surprise" in their lives, although Kokoro Connect was cut into many different arcs. They have just too many similarities, such as the animation. Not to mention that they both deal with the "supernatural," although again, Kokoro Connect gives much more of that feeling than Ano Hana
If you liked either Kokoro Connect or Ano Hana, give the other one a try, you won't regret it! :)

COMMENTS FOR THE MELANCHOLY OF HARUHI SUZUMIYA
Similarities:
Both series revolve around five students, two boys and three girls, that are all in a club together that deal with paranormal activities.
Both have a mix of comedy, drama and (as mentioned) paranormal activities to varying degrees.
Differences:
Kokoro focuses more on romance between characters and character development
Kokoro is much less episodic than Haruhi, i.e. they will have to deal with a specific situation over a series of episodes not just one
Haruhi is much more episodic, i.e. each episode usually has its own separate focus
The character tropes are similar but Haruhi takes them to more of an extreme
In my opinion are both well worth watching if you haven't already.
COMMENTS FOR HYOUKA
When looking at the artwork for Kokoro Connect and Hyouka, the artwork looks strikingly similar to each other, despite being animated by differing studios. Hyouka's artwork is a marvel to look at since it was animated by KyoAni, but Kokoro Connect's artwork is also very good.
Kokoro Connect, synthesizes comedy and drama in a very appealing way. It does not rely on straight gags, and it doesn't try too hard for laughs. This is a positive, because it doesn't seem forced like in other anime. The drama is not over the top and does not seem forced at all. There are also slice of life elements in Kokoro Connect, but is not the central focus for this anime.
Hyouka is marketed as a Mystery anime, but it does have some supernatural, comedic and dramatic components as well. The mysteries that are solved in most of the episodes may be trivial, but the process isn't boring at all. The mystery solving process is done through continued interactions between the characters.
If the mysteries were solved straight away... then what would be the point of having entire episodes? Just to force laughs out of the person watching, like some other anime do? Hyouka paces the mystery solving very well, and also contains slice of life and some romance to mix things up.
If you liked Hyouka and also a great mix of comedy, drama, with some romance and supernatural... without seemingly forced... then give Kokoro Connect a try!

COMMENTS FOR RASCAL DOES NOT DREAM OF BUNNY GIRL SENPAI
Both series explores the complexities of romantic relationships, friendships, and adolescence through supernatural phenomena. Whilst the supernatural phenomena are completely different and the plot differs, the concept is strikingly similar. Both main characters develop their relationships with those around them as a consequence of trying to solve the supernatural phenomena. A very strong recommendation for Kokoro Connect fans out there.

COMMENTS FOR A LULL IN THE SEA
Kokoro Connect and Nagi no Asukara both contain supernatural/fantasy elements in a setting where there is also romance, drama, and relationships.
Both series takes place in a school life setting. They deal with interpersonal relationships with certain degrees of morals, value, and integrity. The main male character in both series is involved with a love triangle. Among other things, there are also human lessons to be taught and learned for the characters.
Both series also takes an approach at slice of life on occasions.
COMMENTS FOR RELIFE
The plots aren’t completely different dealing with the mental workings of highschool students but both are completely different in how this is done. Connect uses the body swapping to under stand the personalities of the characters and help them over come past trauma whereas relife is a friend on the side trying to help his fellow peers.
Both are comedic in execution and all characters are likeable in both. Personally I found myself relating Connect to Relife whilst watching the showing and drawing parallels between characters like Kariu and Iori.

COMMENTS FOR THE TROUBLED LIFE OF MISS KOTOURA
Both series takes place at a school setting between a group of friends in their every day life. The catch? There is some supernatural elements involved in which we don't see often (if at all) in normal high school settings.
Both series involves a club where most of the main characters are part of. Together, they make the most of their school lives while dealing with drama and other incidents.
There seems to be a love triangle in both series and the main male protagonist is in the center of it all.
Both series are rare gems for their way of presenting drama and comedy at the same time. Although lighthearted, they do have emotions and pours heavy drama at surprising moments.
COMMENTS FOR CHARLOTTE
Similarities:
-high school setting
-high school club
-supernatural elements
-'powers'
-a tad of mystery
Both series include a group of high school students that join a club. In Kokoro Connect, this is a club that friends are in together. In Charlotte, the 'club' is the student council. In Charlotte, however, the abilities are all different and are used on a voluntary basis. In Kokoro Connect, the abilities the club receives are not voluntary.
If you like high school 'drama' and supernatural elements such as powers and abilities, Charlotte may interest you just as much as Kokoro Connect did!

COMMENTS FOR WAITING IN THE SUMMER
Main characters are just relaxing in their daily lives until some supernatural entity enters it. They try to stay as friends while dealing with the alien, and learn different morals on their journey.
COMMENTS FOR GLASSLIP
Glasslip may not have much of the mystery genre like Kokoro Connect, but it does have a similar romance path towards the group. If you liked more of the romance genre of Kokoro, I'm sure you will like Glasslip. It shows a lot character development and is a must watch for all romance otaku's.

COMMENTS FOR THE PET GIRL OF SAKURASOU
Kokoro Connect and Sakurasou both explore the complexities and significance of teenage relationships. While Kokoro Connect contains supernatural themes, both series revolve around understanding the importance of friendship, especially during adolescence. Romance is present in both series and fans of one will likely be able to enjoy the other.
COMMENTS FOR K-ON!
Although music is not a major theme in Kokoro Connect, both series has some parallel similarities that are drawn together:
*Both series has similar character designs of the main characters with a similar setting taking place at a school.
*Both series has a slice of life theme to it involving the main characters
*Both series has comedy and drama that are executed well and not forced
*Both series details the relationship between the characters and how they progress through friendship (romance in Kokoro Connect among some of the cast characters)
