COMMENTS FOR THE PET GIRL OF SAKURASOU
Similarities:
Both have the same school, romance, comedy and slice of life genre.
Both main male character have the same personality and even are in the same ridiculous predicament.
Both involves main female character, who are stoic and weird.
Both were set in some kind of boarding house.
Dissimilarities:
The female character in one anime is completely depended on the male character, while the female character in the other anime is a tough nut to crack.
The male character in one anime is at the same age and the same year level as the female, while the female character in the other anime is a year older than the male character.
These are slice of life school, romance/comedies.
In both we follow a relatively normal boy that moves into a dorm/house filled with "lunatics"
Making it feel very similar.
Even though, Sakurasou is much more drama based, ups and down that give good character development. Also having more episodes to do so, and Kawaisou mainly focuses on comedy all through.
COMMENTS FOR BARAKAMON
While not a romantic comedy, Barakamon holds a very similar sense of humour to Kawai Complex Guide. Both series involve a main character who moves out on his own, only to find himself surrounded by others who won't seem to leave him alone. Both shows involve some very funny characters along with a similar art style that will surely keep you laughing throughout.

COMMENTS FOR MAISON IKKOKU
Maison Ikkoku nostalgia hit me hard during Kawai's first ep. You have a student moving into a boarding house, finding his new room invaded by a weirdo, and - on the way out of the door - seeing a girl he falls in love with at first/second sight. And, of course, he then decides to stay--putting up with the other residents. IT'S MAISON IKKOKU BORN AGAIN!!!!....
...well, not really. I mean, it was obviously inspired by Maison Ikkoku - as all boarding house rom-coms are to a certain extent - but the main romance is nothing like in MI. The heroine in Kawai is more like a slightly less bitchy/more eccentric version of Suzuka (heroine from another series that took a little from MI), where as in MI Kyoko was a widow in her early 20's with LONG hair. And, whatever Godai's failings were in MI, he didn't blush constantly over purepure lovelove. Or stalk Kyoko, as Kawai's lead stalks his love. Plus, the leads in Kawaii are both still in high school--considerably younger than the leads in MI.
The main similarities lie in the old-fashioned boarding house setting, where practically all of the scenes take place (like in MI, where college appeared rarely), and the vibrant/eccentric supporting characters that live there. In MI, poor Godai was bullied/tortured 'lovingly' by the other residents as he pursued his love, and although Kawai's lead doesn't have it so bad, he still has to deal with a drunken-sluttyish character (two of MI's characters rolled into one), a weirdo room-mate into S&M (equivalent to MI's snake-like voyeur, Yotsuya) and a twisted-pure college girl that has already gotten him beaten up. There's a whole lot of trolling potential, in short.

COMMENTS FOR MONTHLY GIRLS' NOZAKI-KUN
Both series are about moving into a new environment. The main protagonist from both series becomes acquainted with another character whom they have a crush on but struggles to tell their true feelings. On the other hand, that very person has a very dense personality who is hard to get close to. Nonetheless, the development attachment of both series' main character is evident as they spent more time together. There is also a decent amount of humor and diverse cast of characters of various personalities. Recommended for fans interested in slice of life comedy.

COMMENTS FOR KIMI NI TODOKE: FROM ME TO YOU
A sweet love story between two wholesome characters both including very introvert girls who are misunderstood in their expression of how they feel. Both girls were outcasts early in their schooling for coming across as scary/mean.
COMMENTS FOR SUZUKA
- Cool short hair female characters.
- The male main characters has a crush on the female main characters.
He ALWAYS looks at her, thinks about her and cares ONLY for her!!!
(In short, he really do LOVES her so much)
- They live near each other, go to the same school, go home together.
- In the main characters house/apartment has ONE of a Alcoholism-BIG BOOBS-SISTER.

COMMENTS FOR GRAND BLUE
MC live in a boarding house away from home with people of unknown backgrounds.
Weird people living and interacting together.
Funny
In Grand Blue, Chisa is a Tsundere. In Bokura wa Minna Kawai-sou, Ritsu is a kuudere.
Both are good splice of life.

COMMENTS FOR MAHORABA: HEARTFUL DAYS
While I personally find Kawaisou more humorous, both are essentially slice of life stories about an apartment building full of weirdos. They also share some romance elements.

COMMENTS FOR HANASAKU IROHA ~BLOSSOMS FOR TOMORROW~
There's plenty of realism coming from Hanasaku Iroha and Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou. From a viewer's perspective, the main character goes through a life journey as they move into a new residence. They find new friends and get used to their new life style that I find can be reletable. There's decent comedy, drama, and character interactions. The main characters also forges memorable relationships with others through their development. Both series has a small yet colorful cast of characters that I think people will find attractive with their own dynamics.
COMMENTS FOR D-FRAG!
A relatively normal guy has to put up with a bunch of weird girls who like to mess with him as well as a masochistic pervert "friend." The main girl in both is voiced by Hanazawa Kana.
COMMENTS FOR LOVE HINA
Theses are romance shows that takes place in a hotel/ boarding house, that has a variety of unique characters. Love Hina despite it being a harem show, it focuses mainly on one main girl of that harrem as the main males love interest who is also a fellow student of his. They main romantic leads per-say happen to have several aspects in common such as they, bad temper and the tendency to smack people about.

COMMENTS FOR PRINCESS JELLYFISH
In both anime, there are people who share same house. You can watch daily lifes of these habitants. Kuragehime is a josei anime but more likely to a shoujo in some scenes. You can feel 'slice of life' theme in Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou more. Both anime are enjoyful, i laughed so much while watching them :) I think if you like one, then you can enjoy other too ^^
COMMENTS FOR TORADORA!
Toradora was absolutely the sweetest anime's I've ever seen. This anime was the first I saw of its kind. I was more into the action/thriller genre but I am totally converted to the romantic/comedy/slice of life genre. This anime surely made my top 5 list and I love it so much for how sweet and cute it is. I definitely recommend it to those who are looking for an anime of the genre I stated previously.

COMMENTS FOR HONEY AND CLOVER
Hachimitsu to Clover and Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou adapts a similar atmosphere involving a group of people sharing a dorm/apartment and living together. They build relationships based on the activities they do in their every day lives. There is a similarity in their mood that also focuses on the growth of youth for the main characters. Among other things, there is innocent romance as well as charming comedy. I recommend both series for anyone looking for simple stories that tells the young lives of a group of people building off of their youth.
