Tearjerker anime are, unsurprisingly, very common. We love anime that can make us feel things for the characters, and to be honest, I sort of love having a good cry over the predicament that the anime characters are in. that’s why, in this list, I’m going to look at the top 10 tragic anime in my personal opinion. Satoru Fujinuma realizes he has a gift – whenever something terrible is about to happen, he’s sent back several minutes in time before the accident. Using this newfound ability, which he calls a Revival, the 29 year old manga artist is able to save several lives.
However, the day he’s accused (wrongfully, mind you) of murdering someone close to him, Satoru is sent back in time again. This time, though, he’s sent 18 years into the past. As he realizes, though, the murder of his friend may also be connected to the kidnapping of one of his classmates in the past!

Suddenly she realizes that she didn’t want this. But it’s too late, she’s already separated from her family, and now it’s a fight to find them and see for herself that her family really is alive. It’s a story about how you should always be careful of what you wish for – because you just might get it.

In a small town, a group of friends are about to bid farewell to Sana Hidaka, who has to move away due to his father’s business. He has to say goodbye to his friends, though it’s extremely difficult and painful for him. Despite that, though, he believes that fate will bring them back together again.
Now, five years later, Sana returns home to his old town. However, he quickly realizes that not everything is as it was when he left it. His friends have changed, and these changes threaten to break the bonds that he once held so dearly.

COMMENTS FOR GRAVE OF THE FIREFLIES
Okay, listen, I’ve never seen this movie before, but even I know damn well that this one belonged at the top of the list.
Grave of the Fireflies is about two siblings – Seita and Setsuko. Their lives have been ravaged by World War II, and as the war comes to a close, they have nothing left. Now, they have to try and live their lives, knowing that their parents and homes are gone.

A group of teenagers is learning how to cope without their friend, Meiko Honma – though they called her Menma. She died after a tragic accident when they were kids, and no one has really moved on since then.
One day, though, Jinta Yadomi is peacefully playing video games at home, when Menma suddenly appears in front of him. She’s pestering him to grant a forgotten wish, and at first he thinks it’s just the summer heat. But as it turns out, it’s really Menma’s ghost.
Now, they need to relive through the grief of Menma’s death, while still learning to move on themselves.
